Separate entryway for Newcastle granny flat
The owners of one of our Newcastle granny flats had a fence installed to create privacy between the rear of the existing house and the granny flat. Due to the width of the block the fence was also able to be placed at the side of the house to create a private entrance driveway from the street to the backyard where the granny flat is located. This enables off street parking for the tenant which should enable the owners to achieve a higher rent for the granny flat.
Located in Belmont, the granny flat has two bedrooms with lush dark grey carpet, a combined bathroom and laundry with dark grey tiles and an open plan living area featuring bamboo flooring and stone benchtops for the kitchen.
Outside the owners opted to have a large covered concrete patio, HardiePlank cladding, with a grey and white colour scheme.
Like all our granny flat projects, the Backyard Grannys team managed the entire process, including getting council approvals, developing a design to suit the individual requirements of our client and providing advice based on our years of specialised experience.
