Backyard Grannys Director to shave his head for charity
Each day, 31 Australian’s find out they have blood cancer. Research is vital to find cures and Backyard Grannys want to help fund this research.
Director Alex Mitchell will be shaving his head as part of the World’s Greatest Shave and aiming to raise as much money as possible in the process!
“It’s obviously a great cause and I am keen to not only raise money, but spread awareness as well,” Alex said.
“The Leukaemia Foundation do amazing work by investing in research to find better treatments an cures, but they also provide support to people facing the challenge of blood cancer.”
Alex will shave his head on Wednesday, 11 March 2015 at the weekly Your Business Connections (YBC) function.
“As President of YBC I thought it was a great way to show some leadership in supporting charity, not just in my words, but also in my actions!
“The Leukaemia Foundation doesn’t receive ay government funding, so each little bit counts.”
