Bringing a luxury vision to life
When Donna and Scott set out to build their granny flat, they knew it wouldn’t be just any secondary dwelling. Their vision was bold: create a high-end, luxury short-term holiday accommodation that felt as special as the stunning location it would call home.
Set on seven acres of lush bushland, the property already offered incredible scenery. The challenge - and the opportunity - was to design a space that would complement its surroundings while offering guests an unforgettable experience. With a clear brief and a strong sense of style, Donna and Scott played an active role in shaping every detail.
Working in close collaboration with the Backyard Grannys team, they arrived at a bespoke design that maximises the sweeping views, captures the relaxed elegance of the bushland setting, and delivers a truly luxurious stay.
Build process
To achieve their dream design without compromise, Donna and Scott pursued a Development Approval (DA). This allowed them to incorporate unique architectural details, luxury finishes, and the exact floor plan they had envisioned.
The Backyard Grannys team managed the process from start to finish, ensuring a smooth build, clear communication, and a result that perfectly matched the original concept.
