The details
The Alba granny flat has been built up off the ground and a Merbau stained pine deck with powder-coated aluminium hand-railing added. A navy exterior and white entrance door tie in well with the exposed pine. These modifications have resulted in the granny flat having a homelier personality than the Alba’s typical sleek and contemporary look.
The open-plan living area ties the kitchen/lounge/dining areas together seamlessly with a classic whites and off-whites colour palette teamed with a sandy-coloured, highly durable vinyl floor. The kitchen features an acrylic splashback for a subtle pop of colour and a sizable window with blinds. The combined bathroom/laundry demonstrate the functionality of the design while making the best use of space.
