Meet our directors

Mark Neumann and Alex Mitchell first met in 2007 when Mark was a local builder working on projects with Alex, a Project Manager for another firm.

This collaboration continued on for 6 or so jobs before they decided they should start a company together. Nulex Construction, a combination of Alex and Neumann, started trading in 2011 – the same year they completed their first granny flat.

Backyard Grannys was formed with the goal to be the leading granny flat builders in Newcastle and the Central Coast. We are leading the way, having completed in excess of 100 granny flats in 2016.

At Backyard Grannys, we pride ourselves on the solutions we provide for our clients. The reason we are able to do this is because of our expert team, from our sales representatives through to our building coordinators.

We have a team of professionals that are qualified and experienced in all areas of the granny flat process. Have a look below to see who the team is that delivers your granny flat and how they work together. We want you to be able to put a face to the name of who you’re working with.
